Description
Retaining ring applicators are used to facilitate the installation or removal of rings on a shaft easily. They are suitable for use with an E-style retaining ring.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can you reuse a retaining ring?
A. Most retaining rings or snap rings can be removed and reused multiple times, provided that the stress developed during installation is minimal. However, selected models (like self-locking retaining rings) get permanently locked with the shaft / housing and cannot be removed without breaking or warping the ring.
Q. How to install an E-ring?
A.
- Pick up the E-ring using a retaining ring applicator and hold it securely in place.
- Slide the retaining ring in between the jaws of the tool.
- Push the ring onto a shaft and release the circlip when it is completely assembled on the shaft.
Q. What is the difference between external and internal retaining rings?
A. An internal retaining ring fits into a housing / bore whereas an external retaining ring fits over or around a shaft / pin.
Q. How can we remove anchor bolts?
A. To remove an anchor bolt from the wall, completely unscrew it. With a sharp tap inwards, drive it deeper into the wall. This will disengage the anchor mechanism, allowing you to easily pull the plug from the wall.
