Working Mechanism

  • Benchmark digital hotplate stirrers' motor powers a magnet to create a spinning magnetic field that stirs the stirring bar in a vessel.

Features

  • Benchmark Scientific digital hotplate stirrers have a durable, chemical-resistant white ceramic top plate to accommodate borosilicate glass beakers, flasks, bottles and other vessels.
  • They feature advanced microprocessor controls for quick & precise adjustment of speed and temperature.
  • These stirrers have a powerful motor drive system to mix viscous samples.
  • The display provides constant visualisation of the speed and temperature while a safety LED indicates when the top plate is above 50 deg.C.

Standards & Approvals

  • CE

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the advantages of magnetic stirrers?

  • Magnetic stirrers are quiet and efficient. They have no moving external parts to break or wear out.
How to clean magnetic stirrers?

  • Benchmark magnetic stirrers require water containing a surfactant detergent additive or isopropanol for cleaning.
How to calibrate these units for temperature?

  • Start the calibration procedure by using calibrated thermometer ranging up to 300 degrees C.
  • Place the beaker or flask containing the sample in the centre of the hot plate stirrer.
  • Operate the hot plate without using the magnetic stirrer.
  • Set the temperature of the hot plate by temperature regulator.
  • Dip the calibrated thermometer at one side of the beaker.
  • Record both the control panel temperature display and calibrated thermometer temperature.
  • Repeat the procedure at different temperatures.
