These accessories are used to detect the presence of metallic utilities buried under the ground through a transmitting signal that reflects back from the buried device. Ridgid line transmitters are designed to induce current on a target line and can generate power up to 10 W using any frequency ranging from 10 Hz to 490 kHz with the help of two heavy-duty, lead wires. These transmitters feature an LCD screen that provides instant visual feedback on the current flow or line resistance which can further be confirmed by an audio signal. They are very accurate at low frequencies, thereby ideal for use in congested areas and can be operated by both AC and DC power supplies.
