BALDOR MOTOR Lifting Magnet Generators

Lifting magnet generators from Baldor-Reliance are used to power-lift electromagnets in scrap and bulk metal handling facilities. The motors with horizontal faces can be tethered to the diesel engine via belts and the motors with C-faces can be coupled to the PTO of the crane.

Working Mechanism

  • Permanent lifting magnet generators have two magnets & a rotor in the main body.
  • When positioned in the same direction, these two magnets produce magnetic flux that reaches the metallic objects to be lifted.

Features

  • 230VDC lifting magnet generators with heavy-duty steel frame, cast iron endplates and thick steel housing.
  • Oversized brushes & commutators, double sealed ball bearings and corrosion-resistant epoxy paint for long life and minimum service requirements.
  • Class H insulation with Class F temperature rise.
  • DPFG enclosure for generating 100% rated torque down to 50% of the base speed.
  • Come with an F-2 conduit box.
  • C-Face and base mounting for hydraulic pump or PTO mounting.

Standards and Approvals

  • CE

Frequently Asked Questions

How to operate lifting magnet generators?

  • For safety reasons, the operator must adjust the magnet to the required position and move away.
  • Press the ON button to transfer electromagnetic energy from the rotor's magnet to the one in the main body, which is then transferred to the objects to be lifted. This causes the objects to be drawn to the magnet.
  • Transport the load to its final destination.
  • Press the OFF button to stop the magnetic flux and release the load at the proper location.
  • Even if the operator presses the OFF button while moving the load, it does not fall off immediately.
