Dayton bearings are used to support the pump load and allow smooth rotation. These metallic units provide protection from impact, static vibration, contamination, thrust and misalignment and must be lubricated to prevent failure. They are further protected with a shaft seal that prevents loss of lubrication and ingress of contaminants, as well as confines pressure to extend the bearing life.
