HVLP Spray Guns

DeVilbiss high volume low pressure (HVLP) spray guns are designed to aerosolise and propel paint at low pressures using high volume of air; ideal for fabrication and painting. These FLG4 Series spray guns feature a siphon for fast & area focused delivery of spray paint and multiple speed settings for desired operation. Variants with air consumption ranging from 3 CFM to 22 CFM and gravity feed, suction feed, siphon & pressure feed cup options are available on Raptor Supplies.

Working Mechanism

  • Air is supplied into the spray gun through its air inlet. Air is usually passed through a filter & regulator unit before supplying to the gun for clean air at an appropriate pressure.
  • Then the gun draws in the paint from the container or supply hose for mixing it with the supplied air.
  • The mixture of air and paint passes through the spray gun's nozzle for breaking them into small droplets.
  • The droplets are then sprayed onto the surface to be coated.

Features

  • DeVilbiss high volume low pressure (HVLP) spray guns have an ergonomic gun handle for enhanced balance, grip & comfort while holding.
  • They have a smooth action trigger that require light pulling to decrease user fatigue during long painting operations.
  • These DeVilbiss spray guns can be connected to gravity, suction or pressure feed systems for matching application requirements.
  • They have a siphon to quickly deliver area-focused spray with multiple speed settings.
  • Spray pattern size & paint viscosity can be customised to achieve the required level of fine mist.

Compatible Accessories

  • Paint Feed Systems: Gravity cups, suction feed cups & pressure cups can be attached to these spray guns for dispensing paints.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to clean DeVilbiss HVLP spray guns?

  • Remove excess paint from the spray gun into a waste container.
  • Disassemble it by separating the cup, nozzle & other parts and then rinse them using warm water / cleaning solution.
  • Dry the parts using a clean cloth or air gun.
  • Reassemble the spray gun and test its functionality.

What are some solutions to common problems of DeVilbiss HVLP spray guns?

  • Clogging: Clogging of spray guns may cause inconsistent spray patterns. To fix this, the guns should be disassembled and cleaned. Users can also replace the guns' nozzle if the problem persists.
  • Poor atomization: It can lead to uneven or splotchy spray patterns. To fix this, adjust the air pressure & check the nozzle.
  • Drips and sags: Dripping or sagging of paint may be caused by overspray or incorrect paint viscosity. To fix it, adjust the fluid nozzle & fluid pressure. Hold the spray gun at a constant distance & spray the paint evenly.

What is the fluid delivery speed of these DeVilbiss HVLP spray guns?

DeVilbiss spray guns have low to medium fluid delivery speeds.
