Flexible Couplings

Fernco flexible couplings are designed to connect corrugated polyethylene drainage tubing to PVC pipes. These flexible couplings feature lightweight yet durable elastomeric polyvinyl chloride construction for handling pressure up to 4.3 PSI and a stainless steel band for providing leakproof operation. They are ideal for drainage & irrigation systems and provide resistance against chemicals, fungus growth, sewer gases & UV rays. These flexible couplings are available for 6 x 6 inch and 8 x 8 inch pipe sizes on Raptor Supplies.

Features

  • The dimensional flexibility of Fernco couplings ensures leak-proof pipe seals to prevent infiltration and exfiltration.
  • These couplings can connect pipes of different sizes and materials quickly and easily.
  • They feature stainless steel clamps to prevent corrosion and are made of tough elastomeric polyvinyl chloride (PVC) to resist damages caused by chemicals, ultraviolet rays, fungus and sewer gases.

Standards and Approvals

  • ASTM D5926
  • CL-173
  • CSA B602

Frequently Asked Questions

Can these couplings withstand extreme temperatures?

Fernco flexible couplings have an operating temperature range of -30 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.

What material is used in making bands of these couplings?

Fernco uses 300 stainless steel to make bands in these couplings to provide high corrosion resistance and withstand elevated temperatures.

How to install these couplings?

  • Loosen the stainless steel clamps.
  • Slide the flexible coupling over the spigot ends of the two pipes.
  • Tighten the clamps to 60 lb-inch torque.
  • Conduct a pressure test before concealing the joint.
