Compressor/Vacuum Pumps

Thomas compressor & vacuum pumps are designed for generating air pressure to operate air driven equipment and tools. These units feature die-cast aluminium components for exceptional strength and a diaphragm compressor for preventing the ingress of contaminants & facilitating positive sealing. They have enclosed housing with motor vents for maximum heat dissipation and permanently lubricated bearings to reduce frictional losses. The balanced pump design and thermal protectors of these pumps ensure low vibration operation and automatic shut-off to prevent overheating, respectively. Choose from an array of these compressor pumps, available in 1/10 & 1/20 HP motor ratings on Raptor Supplies.

Uses

Thomas compressor and vacuum pumps offer a wide combination of features, making them useful for applications requiring continuous duty operation, at pressures up to 20 psi. They are ideal for the medical, automotive, security & defence, biopharmaceutical and food & beverage industries.

Working Mechanism

Thomas diaphragm compressor and vacuum pumps generate vacuum or air pressure. They are equipped with two ports to connect a hose for either vacuum or pressure. These diaphragm combination models use a flexible membrane or diaphragm to pull air into an air chamber. This diaphragm creates a barrier between the pump mechanism and the air to prevent corrosive fumes from contacting the unit's components. They run continuously, without excessive noise or oil, and offer light-duty air pressure or vacuum. These Thomas compressor and vacuum pumps are used in laboratories where chemical fumes are present, and in dental & medical applications such as suction and aspirator units.
