Features

  • These Cal-Stat thermostats feature a unique design to offer application versatility as compared to many mechanical or solid-state temperature controls.
  • They have a high-temperature wire lead termination to allow easy insertion into drilled holes and direct immersion into fluids or gases when supplied with the appropriate mounting fitting (like basic cartridge, pipe thread, coupling head and flange).
  • They feature an adjustment screw that allows easy adjustment of the setpoint temperature ranging between -100 and 600 degrees F.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a set-point?

A standard set-point is defined as a temperature at which switch contacts open or close.

How to make Cal-Stat temperature adjustments?

Counterclockwise rotations of the adjusting screw increase the temperature set point, while clockwise rotations decrease the temperature settings.

What are the installation steps of Cal-Stat thermostats?

  • Install Cal-Stat in media to be controlled.
  • Allow the temperature of the media to increase 10 to 20 degrees F above the required temperature set point by turning the adjusting screw anti-clockwise.
  • Now turn the adjusting screw clockwise in small increments until desired control temperature set-point is reached.
  • Cal-Stat thermostat is now set for operation.

Are these products corrosion-resistant?

Vulcan thermostats have a 304 stainless steel outer shell that offers durability and corrosion resistance in most applications.
