Starrett S668DZ is a shaft alignment clamp set that includes two chain clamps, two Starrett 81-141J back-plunger dial indicator gauges, two PT18724 stainless-steel snugs to hold the gauges in position, two extension plates for additional radial clearance and 6 rigid 3/8 inch diameter, stainless-steel indicator posts in three lengths (5, 7.44 and 9 inches).
The lightweight chain clamps are made of black anodised aluminium featuring heavy-duty roller chains that can accommodate shafts up to 7.5 inches in diameter. The second clamp is mounted across from the first clamp and acts as a vertical target for face alignment.
The indicator gauges are used to measure alignment distortion and have a configurable armature to secure the gauges in position on two axes. These dial indicator gauges have shockless and low-friction jeweled bearings that can withstand excessive vibrations.
This set comes in a case for proper organisation & protection of the components and is used to provide precise radial and angular alignment of motors, pumps and compressors. It is also capable of addressing radial and angular misalignment problems.
