A. Krytox greases are made by combining the base oil & a thickener with very small particle size polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The base oil can have a wide range of viscosities for handling diverse temperatures & load conditions. The grease is also blended with additives for adding anti-corrosion properties, increasing load-carrying capability & reducing damage due to wear. A standard Krytox grease generally has NLGI (National Lubricating Grease Institute) Grade 2 consistency. However, Krytox can produce greases having NLGI Grades 000 through 6 upon request.
