Harris specialty gas regulators provide adjustable flow control for welding & cutting torches in metalworking and laboratory applications. Selected models have one-piece encapsulated seat design with PTFE Teflon seats & internal filter for leakage-free operation & contamination free output, respectively. Harris regulators offer flow rates ranging from 0 to 4500 SCFH (AIR).
The gas flow rate is read from the position of the top of the bobbin of the flowmeter. In flowmeters with a ball, rather than a bobbin (right), the reading is taken from the centre of the ball.
A regulator operates on pressure instead of volume. This means a flowmeter will always be more accurate than a regulator for measuring flow volume. A flowmeter is an outer tube with another glass tube inside, marked for flow in CPH and LPM. A small ball bearing inside the tube indicates the flow.
