Working Mechanism

  • These circuit breakers have a trip unit consisting a thermal-magnetic element that senses the current in the circuit.
  • When the current exceeds the breaker's rated capacity, the thermal element heats up and the magnetic element generates a magnetic field.
  • This causes the breaker's trip mechanism to activate and open the breaker's contacts.
  • Thus, interrupting the flow of current and protecting the electrical system.
