Eaton XT IEC Series control relays are magnetic devices equipped with motors, power plants, power supply systems and transistors to switch loads remotely. These single-phase units pass current through transformers with 0.3% accuracy.

Eaton control relays contain two NO or NC-type electrical contacts.
Normally open contacts open when the coil is de-energised and closed when the coil is energised. Normally closed contacts close when the coil is de-energised and open when the coil is energised.
Relays are capable of handling higher loads than contactors.
A relay can control up to two circuits at once.
