Working Mechanism

  • As the rotors rotate, the air is drawn into the inlet port of the pump.
  • The lobes trap the air between them and carry it around to the discharge port.
  • The air is then forced out of the discharge port and into the system.
  • In a vacuum pump configuration, the pump works in reverse, drawing air out of the system and exhausting it to the atmosphere.
  • The operation of the pump is continuous, with the air moving through the pump in a pulsating flow.
  • The flow rate and pressure of the air can be controlled by adjusting the speed of the pump or by adding restrictions to the inlet or discharge ports.
  • The pump is lubricated by the fluid being pumped and requires no external lubrication.

Features

  • These pumps have rotating lobes oriented horizontally along with a drive shaft on the right-hand side of the unit for smooth operation and long service life.
  • They feature FNPT inlets and outlet ports for leakproof operations.

Standards and Approvals

  • ISO

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the speed range of these pumps?

764 to 3600 RPM.

How to install Speedaire positive displacement blower / vacuum pumps?

  • Select an appropriate location for the pump that is level and allows adequate clearance for maintenance and operation.
  • Securely mount the pump to a solid foundation using bolts or vibration-isolating mounts to reduce noise and vibration.
  • Connect the inlet and outlet ports of the pump to the appropriate piping or hose using appropriate fittings and gaskets to ensure a tight seal.
  • Install any necessary accessories or components, such as filters, mufflers / relief valves.
  • Connect the power supply to the motor or drive unit of the pump.
  • Test the operation of the pump and adjust any settings or parameters as needed to achieve the desired flow rate, pressure or vacuum level.

How do I clean and maintain these positive displacement blower / vacuum pumps?

  • Turn off the pump and disconnect it from the power source.
  • Use a soft-bristled brush to remove any dust or debris from the exterior of the pump.
  • Inspect the pump for any signs of wear or damage, such as cracks, leaks or worn-out parts. Replace any damaged components as needed.
  • Remove the inlet and outlet filters and clean them with a soft-bristled brush or by blowing compressed air through them.
  • Inspect the rotors, lobes and housing for any signs of wear or damage. Clean them with a soft-bristled brush or a cloth.
  • Check the oil level in the pump's reservoir and add oil as needed.
  • Replace the inlet and outlet filters and ensure that they are properly installed.
  • Test the pump to ensure proper operation and check for any leaks.
