About Fillrite

Fill-Rite offers fuel management and transfer systems ideal for the agriculture, chemical, construction and transportation industries. The Fill-Rite pump catalogue includes AC / DC fuel transfer, air operated & drum pumps. The brand also offers flowmeters and oil, air & fuel filters. Fill-Rite fuel transfer pumps feature steel / cast iron housing, are capable of delivering fluid flow rates up to 35 gpm and can withstand pressure up to 50 psi. They are equipped with Buna-N / carbon / ceramic / HNBR / nitrile seals to ensure abrasion resistance and excellent heat & oxidation stability. H Series Fill-Rite 12V, 15 gpm pumps are designed to handle flammable liquids such as gasoline, diesel, biodiesel blends (up to B20), ethanol blends (up to E15), kerosene and mineral spirits. These fuel transfer pumps feature a thermally protected UL / cUL listed motor to prevent overheating & maximise motor life. They have a premium paint shield for exemplary corrosion resistance. DF Series pumps and systems from Fill-Rite feature rugged multi diaphragm technology to provide quick, easy & safe dispensing of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) / AdBlue. Fill-Rite def pumps have an integral pulsation dampener that offers smooth flow at the point of use. A wide range of the aforementioned products, along with Fill-Rite filter housing and exterior automotive accessories, is available on Raptor Supplies.

Fillrite Competitive Advantages

Nutating Disc Mechanical Metres

Nutating Disc Mechanical Metres

Nutating disc mechanical metres have accuracy of +/-2% and are designed to measure & totalise fuels (gas / diesel) transferred on-site. Normally, they are paired with a Fill-Rite pump for rapid fuel transfer, but they can also be used for gravity feed systems, and produce flow rates ranging from 5 to 40 GPM. TN Series pumps are the perfect choice i...

f you're looking for pumps that can handle higher flow rates (up to 60 GPM) and pressure levels (150 - 1500 PSI). TN Series pumps are ideal for diesel, as well as automotive and industrial fluid applications.

Precision Oval Gear Metres

Precision Oval Gear Metres

Precision oval gear metres from Fill-Rite have accuracy of +/-0.05% and are available in both aluminium & stainless steel variants. TS Series metres are ideal for flow rates ranging from 8 to 200 GPM and pressures up to 400 PSI. There are models approved by the Weights and Measures Bureau for custody transfer applications, including refined fuels a...

nd diesel exhaust fluid. These precision gear models include dispensers for fuels & DEF, bulk racks for high volume loading & unloading, and bob tails for delivery trucks (gas / diesel / home heating oil).

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are Fill-Rite transfer pumps made? Are Fill-Rite pumps made in USA?

Fill-Rite products are designed and manufactured in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, USA.

How do I choose a fuel transfer pump?

  • Flow rate - The flow rate measures how quickly fuel can be dispensed, in litres per minute (lpm). The fuel transfer pump you choose will depend on the size of the vehicles to be filled, and their tank capacity. If the rate is too low, it will take a long time for tanks to fill, but if the rate is too high, it will result in spills or frothing, so it is important to choose carefully.
  • Setup & fuelling mechanism - Users have to consider where they are likely to be conducting refuelling, & what the setup will be. If they have a static fuel tank at a refuelling station, then a permanent pump can be set up, either fixed to the wall / tank, or in a floor mounted cabinet.
  • ATEX certification - European law requires that equipment comply with strict criteria before it can be used in areas where explosive gases are present. In general, an electrical pump that will be used in Europe for diesel, petrol or kerosene, must comply with the directives.

What kind of fuels does a fuel transfer pump work with?

There is a wide range of fuel transfer pumps designed for diesel, since most fuel pumps are intended for commercial use. Fill-Rite also manufactures pumps for transfer of fuels & liquids, including petrol, AdBlue & even food products.

How to prime a Fill-Rite gas pump?

Most transfer pumps move liquid from one tank to another and are self-priming. However, there are some pumps that require priming to get started. Priming is necessary because these pumps work on the principle that water escapes from high pressure areas to low pressure areas. Unless the pump is primed, the pressure isn't high enough to pull through the more pressurised water. This is why it is necessary to increase the pressure with outside air.

  • If you are applying primer, you should not have a connection between the transfer pump and its destination.
  • Push the priming pump onto the closed fuel line.
  • Bolt the pump using the attached bolts and gaskets.
  • Press the fuel pump down a few times to increase the pressure in the transfer pump.
  • Remove the fuel pump and close the fuel line. Now the transfer pump is ready to function on its own.
