Working Mechanism

  • As the current flows through the conductor, it generates a magnetic field around it.
  • The hall effect sensor detects this magnetic field and converts it into a proportional voltage signal.
  • This voltage signal is then processed by the sensor's internal electronics to produce an output signal proportional to the DC flowing through the conductor.

Features

  • Eaton EDC Series CurrentWatch DC sensors can be adjusted to three different set points (5, 10 or 30 mA).
  • They protect personnel and equipment from ground faults.
  • These EDC Series CurrentWatch current sensors have a split-core design that accounts for quick and easy installation.
